Five-star basketball prospect Koe Peat shared that he would announce his commitment on Thursday, March 27, on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show.

Peat is the No. 1 recruit out of Arizona and the No. 7 overall recruit in the nation for the class of 2025. Not long ago, the five-star forward announced that he had narrowed down his list of schools to just five programs, including the Texas Longhorns.

Alongside the Horns are the Baylor Bears, the Houston Cougars, and his home-state teams: the Arizona Wildcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Peat might just have the perfect name for an elite athlete, leading his high school team to four consecutive state championships... or, a four-Peat.

On3's national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw described Peat as an athlete with "a naturally strong frame, with long arms and broad shoulders." Shaw goes on to say that Peat is highly capable on both ends of the court and has impressive confidence in his ball-handling skills.

During his senior season, Peat averaged a double-double throughout the year, contributing 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. Just one year earlier, he averaged 20.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists over his junior season.

At 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds, the senior forward is already built like a collegiate athlete and could perfectly fill in the vacancies on the Texas roster left by graduating seniors such as Kadin Shedrick.

The three-time Gatorade Player of the Year is scheduled to announce his commitment at 11:10 a.m. CT on ESPN.
