5-Star Texas WR commit Jaime Ffrench sets visit this week
One of Texas football's highest-rated commitments in the 2025 class, five-star Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, has visited Austin multiple times this fall.
Texas football getting 5-Star WR commit Jaime Ffrench back to campus one more time before signing day in the 2025 class
Per Horns247's Hank South, Ffrench is scheduled to make a return visit unofficially to Texas this weekend for the matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats at DKR on Nov. 23.
This news of Ffrench visiting Texas for the Kentucky game this upcoming Saturday comes after he made an unofficial gameday visit last weekend to see the in-state Florida Gators topple the LSU Tigers at The Swamp in Gainesville.
It's hard to overstate how big this news is for the Longhorns to get Ffrench back to Austin for a gameday visit for the Kentucky game this week. Florida has made a really big push on the recruiting trail in the past few months to try and chip away at Ffrench's commitment to Texas.
Texas has really had to work to hold off Florida's run on the trail lately with Ffrench. Despite his official visit to Florida last weekend, Ffrench has said that he remains locked in with his commitment to the Longhorns, which is a few weeks out from signing day on Dec. 4.
With signing so close in a couple of weeks in early December, the Longhorns potentially getting the final in-person visit with Ffrench before he signs on the dotted line in the very near future could help make things even more solid with his commitment to their 2025 class.
Ffrench committed to the Longhorns over the Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida State Seminoles, Florida, LSU, and Miami Hurricanes in late August.
He is one of three wide receiver recruits committed to the Longhorns in the 2025 class, also including Sachse (TX) five-star Kaliq Lockett and Lucas (TX) Lovejoy four-star Daylan McCutcheon.
