DeSoto 5-Star WR and Texas football priority Ethan Feaster has reclassified to join the 2026 cycle
Before reclassifying down from 2027 to the 2026 class on Feb. 14, Feaster was ranked as the No. 1 recruit in Texas and the top-ranked wideout in the 2027 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking.
After posting big numbers during his sophomore campaign for the 16-0 DeSoto Eagles this past season in 2024, Feaster has the confidence to know he can play with the best of the best for the 2026 class.
"I saw Ryan Williams do it. That was the biggest thing. I felt like I can do it. I felt like I was ready for college."Ethan "Boobie" Feaster
Feaster cut his list of top schools down to 12 with the announcement of his reclassification to the 2026 cycle on Friday. Among the 12 schools he said he's focusing on going into spring and summer visits this offseason, the ones he said were sticking out to him included the Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, and Texas.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson have built great relationships with Feaster on the recruiting trail. Feaster likes his fit and potential playing in the Texas offense under Sarkisian.
"Definitely the offense. They love to pass the ball. And I love the coaching at Texas. Sark made that program have a big jump for sure. He’s a great coach and makes a team just like that. He’s a great recruiter and a great coach."Ethan "Boobie" Feaster
Feaster only has one official visit scheduled for this summer, to see USC in early June. He's also said he wants to take official visits to see the SMU Mustangs, LSU, and Texas A&M this summer.
