On Monday, just two days after the Longhorns suffered a brutal beating from the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian made a bad week even worse.
Star linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. went down in the second half and had to have the medical staff come onto the field to examine him. While he didn't leave the game, his production level dropped dramatically after the apparent injury.
While Sarkisian didn't provide a specific update on Hill's status, despite rumors circling that he had broken his hand against the Bulldogs, he did say he was monitoring him on a daily basis as the Longhorns prepared to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Will Anthony Hill Jr. play versus Arkansas?
"We’re just making sure that they’re going to be OK," Sarkisian said. "I’m not ready to make that diagnosis on where they’re going to be yet, but I feel optimistic about it."

Yes, Arkansas is the immediate focus for Texas. However, the Razorbacks are 2-8 overall and are ranked 15th in the SEC. The bigger problem is the Texas A&M Aggies, who are the only undefeated team in the conference and the Horns are scheduled to play them in just two weeks.
Fellow pass rusher Ethan Burke wasn't quite as confident on Hill's status compared to his head coach's opinion.
"I’m not sure if he’s going to play or what’s going on," Burke said about whether Hill would play against Arkansas or not. "Hopefully he does."
After the game against Georgia, Hill further cemented himself as the Horns' leading tackler, with 70 total tackles (38 solo), four sacks for 25 yards, two interceptions (one against Georgia), three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one pass deflection.
The Longhorns, with or without Hill available, take on the Razorbacks at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 22, and just six days later, Texas and Texas A&M will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 8. The two long-time rivalry matchups will both be available on ABC.
