Bijan Robinson was always going to be special, no matter where he played or whatever level of the game he was at, and he continued to prove that as he amassed over 200 total scrimmage yards last night against the Green Bay Packers.
With 194 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and 19 receiving yards (as the cherry on top), it felt like Robinson had cemented the double-digit win for the Atlanta Falcons in the first quarter, but this kind of jaw-dropping performance is something the league is growing used to seeing, and something that the Texas Longhorns knew would happen in the NFL.
The performance put the entire league on notice. Robinson's season has arrived, and he isn't backing down from anyone. It was his first 100+ rushing-yard performance of the season, and we're only three games into the year. Simply put, there is more where that came from.

While we're only three games in, and Robinson now has an extra game on the rest of the league since Atlanta and Green Bay played on Thursday night, the Longhorn legend has undeniably cemented the start of a season worthy of the Offensive Player of the Year award.
Robinson was already in the conversation, alongside players like Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs. The only difference between Robinson and other offensive stars across the league is that, well, he's simply in a league of his own.
The 213 scrimmage yards locked Robinson in as the first player in NFL history with 150+ scrimmage yards and at least one touchdown in five straight road games. He also joined legendary players Derrick Henry, Shaun Alexander, and Jerry Rice as the only four players with the most prime games with 200+ scrimmage yards since the league's 1970 merger.
Currently, Robinson sits with 467 total yards and three touchdowns. For reference, Gibbs has 299 total scrimmage yards and three touchdowns so far this season and Smith-Nijgba has earned 277 receiving yards for four touchdowns.
To repeat as a point of emphasis, Robinson is in a league of his own, but he kind of always has been.
Robinson was a five-star prospect out of the class of 2020, and when he committed to the Horns, it immediately added a certain juice to the Texas offense, just like it has for Atlanta over the last four years.
As the No. 2 running back in his recruiting class, it was almost a well-known fact that he would be good in college. Then, he earned 3,410 rushing yards for 33 touchdowns and 805 receiving yards for eight touchdowns over his three-year career at Texas, and it looked like it would be a well-known fact that he would be good in the NFL too.
While with the Horns, he was a freshman All-American in 2020, he was a two-time first-team All-Big 12 player (2021, 2022), he was a unanimous All-American in 2022, and he won the Doak Walker Award in 2022 as well.
So far this season, Robinson has already earned 349 yards on the ground and 118 yards through the air. That puts him above the rest of the league in rushing yards and makes him the 29th-best in receiving yards, the most for any running back in the NFL.
In other words, Robinson continues to display why he is not just one of the best running backs in the league, but also one of the best overall athletes that the NFL has seen in a long time... but that's something Texas fans always knew was coming.
