Over the past couple of months, one of the biggest storylines in Texas recruiting has been where they stand with Monshun Sales, the No.1-ranked wide receiver recruit in the 2027 class. Though Sales was recently in Austin on April 15th, it's been tough to gauge his actual interest level in the program.
He's scheduled to take his official visit to the forty acres on June 5th, and luckily for the Longhorns, Brock Williams, as well as one of their other top-ranked commits in the 2027 class, has been doing a lot of work to get Sales to commit to Texas.
Recent TE commit Brock Williams is helping behind the scenes for Texas
First, Easton Royal began a social media campaign to bring Sales to Austin, and now the team's most recent blue-chip commit is doing the same thing:

Brock Williams just committed to Texas on Friday, and he's already joining in on the intense recruitment of Sales, whom he's met at different recruiting camps and events.
Monshun Sales is most likely going to be a day one starter at "X" wherever he ends up, and it's pretty safe to say that Steve Sarkisian and WR Coach Chris Jackson are doing everything they can to try and land him right now. Having commits who act as recruiters is an invaluable asset to have for a program looking to add firepower and playmaking ability to its wide receiver room.
Due to the simple fact that Cam Coleman is likely a one-and-done at Texas in 2026, the Longhorns' offensive staff is likely searching for someone who can come in right away and replace him on the outside in 2027. Though Sales doesn't have the speed or short-area quickness that Coleman does, he has intimidating size and length that will make things incredibly hard for smaller cornerbacks to defend in multiple areas of the field.
If Texas can find a way to get Sales locked up in the near future, the Longhorns are going to have an incredibly dangerous core of receiving options for Dia Bell and/or KJ Lacey to utilize in 2027 and beyond.
