There is no hiding the fact that offensive linemen, running backs, quarterbacks, tight ends... okay, you get the picture... are all terrified of facing Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons.
Over the last two seasons with the Texas Longhorns, Simmons has transformed himself into one of the most dominant and unstoppable defensive linemen in the nation. Now, he is primed to do more of the same as his junior season flies into focus.

- 21 sacks
- 6 forced fumbles (1 fumble recovery)
- 5 pass deflections

Beyond his incredible on-field performances and consistency with the Horns, Simmons has been repeatedly projected as a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, if not a top-10 pick alongside quarterback Arch Manning.
Simmons, Manning, Sarkisian, and the rest of the Texas football team will kick off their season on Saturday, Sept. 5, against the Texas State Bobcats. The game will be just one of the many opportunities for Simmons to prove he was well worth his lofty rating in the video game.
