No. 3 Texas football (12-2, 7-1 SEC) is being heavily favored in the betting odds, with the No. 12 Arizona State Sun Devils (11-2, 7-2 Big 12) being two-score underdogs ahead of the College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Peach Bowl on New Year's Day.

Arizona State has been a good story in college football this season, winning the Big 12 Championship after it was picked by the media and the pundits to be a bottom-tier team in the conference. The Sun Devils and star running back Cam Skattebo have embraced the underdog role for this game against the Longhorns.

This is the second time in less than one month that head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are playing at Mercedes-Benz Stadium since the SEC Championship against the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta on Dec. 7.
