The day is here. The Lone Star Showdown has returned. The No. 3 Texas Longhorns are set to kick off against the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies for the first time in nearly a decade and a half. Of course, ESPN College GameDay was in town for the all-time, long-lived rivalry's return.

Throughout the morning, the hate that the two football programs for each other was apparent as fans suggested sawing off Varsity's (Bevo's) horns, and Texas fans continuously called the Aggies their little brothers.

However, when it came down to who the College GameDay cast thought would win the matchup, it was (unsurprisingly) a house divided.

ESPN College GameDay picks for Texas vs. Texas A&M

  • Desmond Howard: Texas A&M
  • Nick Saban: Texas
  • Pat McAfee: Texas A&M
  • Lee Corso: Texas
  • Dude Perfect (Celebrity guest picker): Texas A&M

While it came as no surprise that Dude Perfect, a former Aggie himself, stuck with his alma mater, a few people were shocked that Howard and McAfee picked Texas A&M over the dominant, top-three Longhorns.

However, when it came to the all-time great coaches Nick Saban and Lee Corso, two of the most beloved characters on the College GameDay desk, their knowledge of the game shined above the rest as they both picked No. 3 Texas.

Earlier this season, Corso donned Hook'Em's headgear for both his picks of the eventual National Champion as well as in Texas' game against the Georgia Bulldogs. While the Horns couldn't keep pace with the Dawgs, Corso stuck by gut and donned Hook'Em's dome once again.

Texas and Texas A&M are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT from Kyle Field in College Station, TX. the game will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN+.
