Texas WR Parker Livingstone recently posted a farewell message to Longhorn Nation on social media, and it sparked immediate discussion amongst the fanbase.
It was incredibly surprising to everyone when it was announced that he's entering the transfer portal, and now that he decided to say his goodbyes on X, something definitely sounds "off" about the whole situation.
"Never in a million years did I think I would be going into the portal looking for a new home. Some things are out of my control. Such is the reality of the ever-changing landscape of college football. Emptied my tank every day for this great university, my teammates, & all of the good folks of Texas. Grateful."

This screams that he was forced to leave, and though it's possible, it would be really odd for the Longhorns to part ways with one of their top wide receivers heading into 2026. They're already shorthanded as it is when it comes to experience, with DeAndre Moore Jr. leaving as well in the portal window.
Livingstone played a crucial role for Arch Manning and Co. in 2025, being the team's deep-threat and speed separator. He allowed guys like Moore Jr., Ryan Wingo, and Jack Endries to see more uncontested targets underneath and in the screen game by forcing defenses and specifically safeties to set deep.
Though the Longhorns' wide receiver room is chock-full of young talent, there's a very good chance that Steve Sarkisian wants to bring in another top-tier receiver option in the transfer portal. Some of the best available options are Auburns' Cam Coleman (who's currently on campus visiting), Colorado's Omarion Miller, and Michigan State's Nick Marsh.
