It is undeniable that the Texas Longhorns are the best team in the world of college baseball. With the top spot in the SEC and the No. 1 national ranking, the Horns are back to a place of dominance in the sport.
Most recently, Texas extended its already fantastic winning streak to an even more impressive 10 games with a win over the Prairie View A&M Panthers in a mid-week matchup. The Longhorns walked away with a definitive 11-2 win to improve their overall record to 38-5 with the SEC Tournament looming in the not-so-distant future.
Sophomore left fielder Easton Winfield, who transferred to Texas ahead of this season, had an incredible night as he knocked in two of the Horns' runs on four hits and a home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Including Winfield's four hits, Texas's offense combined for 12 total hits, bringing home 11 runners on just 35 at-bats as the Horns blew past the Panthers.
Designated hitter Ethan Mendoza, catcher Ryan Galvan, and Winfield combined for six of the runs as they rounded third to head home. Shortstop Jalin Flores, center fielder Will Gasparino, first baseman Kimble Schuessler, third baseman Casey Borba, and second baseman Adrian Rodriguez earned one run each to finish off the Horns' 11 total runs.
The consistently dominant Texas bullpen was on fire as the Longhorns held the Panthers to just two runs on eight hits. Kade Bing earned the win after pitching three innings and allowing only one run, followed by a combined close from Hudson Hamilton, Aiden Moffett, Ethan Walker, and Cody Howard.

Texas has one of its most difficult series of the season up next as the Longhorns travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in a three-game series.
Then, Texas will host Lamar in a mid-week game before its last two conference series against Florida and Oklahoma ahead of the SEC Tournament. The 2025 SEC Baseball Tournament will be held in Hoover, AL, from Tuesday, May 20, to Sunday, May 25.
