Yet another win is rolling into the Moody Center for head coach Vic Schaefer and the Texas women's basketball team. This time, it's in the form of a 6-foot-6 sophomore center from the transfer portal.
Former Florida Atlantic Owl Lovisa Asbrink Hose committed to the Texas Longhorns after spending just one season with FAU, where she started in five and played in 22 games. Now, the true sophomore will add some much-needed height to Schaefer's squad.
Last season, Asbrink Hose averaged 3.8 rebounds, 3.4 points, and 0.5 blocks per game, while only clocking in for an average of 14.2 minutes.

Asbrink Hose is the second transfer portal commitment that Schaefer has locked down this offseason. Just a few days earlier, former Arizona forward Breya Cunningham announced her commitment to the Longhorns, joining Schaefer's highly talented roster.
Cunningham, a 6-foot-4 forward, averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game for the Arizona Wildcats last season and will be a nice addition alongside Madison Booker at the position.
Who is staying for another year with Texas WBB?
So far, Schaefer and the Horns have only suffered four departures from their program. Two left due to their eligibility running out, Taylor Jones and Shay Holle, and two entered the transfer portal, Abbie Boutilier and Jordana Codio.
Meanwhile, stars like Rori Harmon, Booker, Jordan Lee, Brenna Preston, Kyla Oldacre, and more have decided to stick around for at least one more season with Texas.
Despite losing to South Carolina in the Final Four, Texas's third loss to the SC Gamecocks on the season, the Longhorns had a lot to be proud of at the end of the Tournament.
The Horns finished the regular season with the SEC title, made an appearance in the SEC Tournament championship, and made their first appearance in the Final Four since 2003. Not to mention, Texas finished the season with an incredible 35-4 overall record.
