He's here and he's sensational. That's what Texas football fans must be thinking when it comes to standout wide receiver Cam Coleman, who transferred in from Auburn. With spring ball here, Coleman is making his debut at practice for the Longhorns and so far, he's passing the eye test.

5 Texas football storylines to watch with spring ball here

Yup, Steve Sarkisian and his players have hit the ground running, with the spring sessions officially getting underway on Monday. Coleman wasted no time showing his potential for this season, as the big-bodied without already looks like a natural with his new squad:

Texas fans are already fired up with Cam Coleman at Longhorns spring ball

All it took was one nine-second clip from CJ Vogel of Coleman catching a ball for a lot of us to start counting down the days for Week 1 to get here. Throughout the spring, Coleman and Arch Manning are going to be working overtime in developing chemistry.

Coleman is no question going to be a game-changing receiver for Manning and he can no question help the Texas offense take things to a new level. This offseason, it wasn't a surprise at all when he announced he was leaving Auburn and it also wasn't stunning when so many schools pushed for his signature.

In addition to Texas, Coleman was also receiving strong interest from Alabama, Texas A&M and many others. After he took his official visit to Tuscaloosa, there were plenty of nervous Texas fans who were worried he'd sign with the Crimson Tide, but that didn't end up happening.

Instead, Coleman gave Sark and the Texas faithful the news they were hoping for. A 5-star transfer, there are some pretty massive expectations being placed on Coleman in 2026. He's got extra motivation to silence the doubters, as he indeed wants to help Texas get back to the College Football Playoff after missing out in '25. Should that happen, Coleman and Manning will prove to be a big reason why.
