Former 4-star prospect is in the crosshairs of Sean Miller's recruiting campaign

After bringing in four talented players from the transfer portal, Texas men's basketball coach Sean Miller is far from taking his foot off the gas as he tries to recruit more athletes to build up the Longhorns' roster.

With two former Xavier stars and two other four-star athletes joining the Horns, alongside three Texas players sticking around for at least one more year, Miller's squad is looking highly promising ahead of the summer.

Most recently, a former four-star prospect and senior shooting guard shared that he had heard from Miller and his staff. Adam Miller, who has played for Illinois, LSU, and Arizona State, entered the transfer portal after his most recent season with the ASU Sun Devils.

Texas is just one of 13 schools to reach out to the guard, including his former team, the Illinois Fighting Illini. Over the last season, Miller had one of the slowest seasons of his collegiate career but still averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.

Alongside the Longhorns and Fighting Illini, Miller has also heard from the Baylor Bears, Pitt Panthers, DePaul Blue Demons, Gonzaga Bulldogs, West Virginia Mountaineers, TCU Horned Frogs, Arkansas Razorbacks, Indiana Hoosiers, Clemson Tigers, and Virginia Tech Hokies.

Unsurprisingly, the Sun Devils have stayed in contact with Miller as they try to retain the consistent presence in the backcourt on their roster.

As of now, Sean Miller has brought in the No. 14 class of transfer portal players this year with four commitments so far, according to 247Sports. He brought Lassina Traore and Dailyn Swain alongside him from Xavier, and has recruited former Purdue power forward Camden Heide as well as former FAU center Matas Vokietaitis.
