Steve Sarkisian is back to his dominant ways when it comes to the recruiting trail as numerous prospects from the class of 2026 have turned into commitments for Texas, and even more players are looking to see how they feel about spending their futures with the Longhorns.
Georgia native and former USC Trojans commit Xavier Griffin joined the group of players trying to see if they fit into Texas's program when he announced an official visit with the Horns and three other Power Conference programs.
Griffin, who will visit Texas over the weekend of June 13, is also set to visit the Ohio State Buckeyes (May 30), Alabama Crimson Tide (June 6), and Florida State Seminoles (June 15). The linebacker from the class of 2026 originally committed to the Trojans on July 27, 2024, but decommitted less than a year later on May 14, 2025, reopening his recruitment process.
Griffin is the No. 2 linebacker in his recruiting class and the No. 3 athlete out of the state of Georgia, according to On3, earning him the No. 28 overall ranking in the class of 2026.
