From Cardinal red to burnt orange. Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian secured a big-time commitment from the transfer portal when a former Stanford wide receiver pledged his allegiance to the Longhorns.
Wideout Emmett Mosley V, who just wrapped up his true-freshman season with the Cardinal, entered the portal after Stanford's season ended and just committed to Texas. Last year, he earned 525 receiving yards and six touchdowns on just 48 catches.
After playing almost the entirety of the season for Stanford, Mosley maintains three years of eligibility as he heads to Texas. When he committed to the Horns, he was the No. 1 wide receiver still available in the transfer portal

As a freshman, in his first season at Stanford and Stanford's first season as a part of the ACC, he stood out as one of the top receivers on the Cardinal's roster, only trailing Elic Ayomanor.

Coming out of high school, Mosley was the No. 72 wide receiver prospect in the nation and the No. 39 athlete out of the state of California. He received 18 Division I offers, including from the Texas Longhorns as well as perennial programs like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Before Mosley's commitment, Texas had the No. 34 transfer recruiting class. However, the Horns and Sarkisian lay claim to the No. 1 recruiting class of 2025 as well as the No. 13 class fo 2026.
As a transfer, Mosley has been given a three-star rating, following his impressive freshman season for Stanford, and was the No. 42 overall wide receiver in the portal this offseason.
