Just a few hours ago, the No. 1 prospect in the state and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the class of 2026 continued to fuel the rumors that he would be a Texas Longhorn when he cancelled his visit with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Felix Ojo, a highly sought-after OT prospect and a native Texan, announced on Tuesday, April 8, that he no longer planned on visiting the Fighting Irish despite holding an offer from the perennial program, alongside many others.
Ojo grew up less than three hours from the University of Texas campus, and as his recruitment process has unfolded, more and more experts are leaning toward him committing to his home-state team.
Originally, Ojo was scheduled to visit Notre Dame on April 10, followed by five more visits throughout the spring and summer, including the Longhorns on June 13. Now, the offensive tackle has cut down his travel plans.
I will no longer be Visiting Notre Dame on the 10th.

Felix Ojo scheduled visits
- Ole Miss Rebels - April 18
- Ohio State Buckeyes - May 30
- Michigan Wolverines - June 6
- Texas Longhorns - June 13
- Oklahoma Sooners - June 20
Earlier this offseason, Ojo had high praise for the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian, even going as far as telling On3 that he knew he was one of the Horns' "No. 1 priority."
"They flat out said and showed that Iām their No. 1 priority when it comes to linemen in the 2026 cycle."Felix Ojo
According to On3, there is nearly a 92 percent likelihood that Ojo will commit to Sarkisian and the Longhorns. However, site experts still give a few programs a slim chance to flip those odds: Oklahoma Sooners (2.3 percent) and Ole Miss Rebels (1.3 percent).
