We're just a few days away from the start of the first big Junior Day of the 2025 offseason for Texas football on the recruiting trail for the 2026 and 2027 classes. One of the top-rated blue-chip recruits from the 2026 class who is scheduled to be on campus this weekend for Texas's Junior Day is the highly touted four-star Mansfield (TX) Lake Ridge offensive tackle Felix Ojo.

Ojo is set to make his first return visit to Texas since last fall to see the Longhorns for Junior Day this upcoming weekend (Jan. 25).

Offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns have really prioritized two key in-state blue-chip offensive tackle recruits in the 2026 class since last offseason. Ojo and the elite five-star Fort Worth (TX) North Crowley John Turntine III are the top two priorities at offensive tackle for Flood and the Longhorns for this cycle.

Flood has done a great job building the relationship with Ojo on the recruiting trail. Texas was one of the early P4 programs that communicated with and offered Ojo last offseason, after the Texas Elite Camp in early June.

Between the success recruiting and developing offensive linemen for the past few years at Texas, and the connection Flood has with Ojo, the Longhorns are in a good spot in this recruitment early in the 2025 offseason.

Ojo told On3 that Texas is making him feel like their "No. 1 priority" on the recruiting trail for the 2026 class early this offseason.

"They flat out said and showed that Iā€™m their No. 1 priority when it comes to linemen in the 2026 cycle."

He also told On3 that Texas is "a top five school for me and I have high interest in them". Some of the other schools he's shown interest in and visited multiple times are the Oklahoma Sooners, SMU Mustangs, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
