We discussed on the site earlier this week that the Longhorns were expected to show interest in Singleton's portal recruitment when he officially entered the transfer market a few days ago. The type of speed (sub-10.3 second 100-meter dash time) that Singleton brings isn't something you find every day in the portal at receiver.
Singleton visited the Auburn Tigers and head coach Hugh Freeze yesterday, and he is scheduled to be on campus in Oxford today (Dec. 13) to see head coach Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels. He visited the Georgia Bulldogs earlier this week, too.
Next week, Singleton is slated to visit Texas and the Miami Hurricanes.
The No. 1 transfer wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite is also reported to be one of the most expensive players in the portal during the winter window. He is easily one of the most highly sought after players in the transfer portal this month.
Singleton registered nearly 1,500 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns in two seasons at Georgia Tech. He also racked up 140 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown since 2023.
The Freshman All-American was very productive and explosive for Georgia Tech against Georgia in the past two campaigns. Singleton had over 170 combined receiving yards and a touchdown catch in two matchups against Georgia's defense.
Singleton ran track for the Yellow Jackets last spring, running a blazing fast sub 21.2-second 200-meter dash time for the ACC Championship track meet.
It's not surprising to see head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns scheduling a visit with Singleton in the portal for next week. Texas always wants to add more speed and dynamic playmakers to the receiving corps.
