For the fourth time this season, the Texas women's basketball team will face the reigning national champion South Carolina Gamecocks. For the first time, the Texas Longhorns will face South Carolina in the Final Four, the Horns' first appearance in the penultimate game since 2003.
In the regular season, the two SEC teams split their matchups, but in the conference championship, the Gamecocks walked away with the SEC title. Now, the two teams are fighting for a spot in the National Championship game, where they will face the winner of the UCLA-UConn game.

Meanwhile, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, the highest-paid women's college basketball coach in the nation, has taken the Gamecocks to six previous Final Four appearances, including the last four years in a row.
