Former Texas football speedster Isaiah Bond, has announced via social media that he plans to sign with the Cleveland Browns immediately following the resolution of his sexual assault case on Thursday.

Though the signing is widely thought to become official soon, the parties haven't put pen to paper as of yet. The Browns are still doing their due dilligence before making it final, according to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot.

The Cleveland Browns are desperately searching for playmakers to pair with whoever starts at quarterback for them in 2025, and they brought in Bond for a pre-NFL Draft visit shortly before the big day in April. They've shown legitimate interest in him for a while now and it's not hard to see why they were one of the first teams to reach out to Bond after his legal case was resolved.

Bond ran a blazing 4.39 second 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine, with a 1.51 second 10-yard split. Those are excellent numbers for the type of player that he is, and that sub-4.4 speed is evident on the field. He's the type of player who can take a bubble screen 70 yards to the "house" in a blink of an eye (like he did at Texas).

Though he had somewhat of a drop-off in 2024 compared to his previous season at Alabama, he finished with 34 catches, 540 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns through the air. He also rushed 4 times for 98 yards and a touchdown for the Longhorns. Unfortunately, he suffered a high-ankle sprain in the SEC Championship game win against Georgia.

As mentioned above, though the signing hasn't taken place yet as of the time of publishing this article, it's widely expected to get done within the next 24 hours unless something else goes wrong for either party.
