Johnny Manziel has insanely hypocritical take on Arch Manning's stare down

After scoring a touchdown against the Sam Houston Bearkats, Texas quarterback Arch Manning stared down the defender. The reviews were a mixed bag.

On Saturday, Texas quarterback Arch Manning and the Longhorns stormed past the Sam Houston State Bearkats to secure a 55-0 victory.

On one scoring drive, Manning ran the ball into the end zone, bullying his way past defenders. Then, Manning stared down Antavious Fish, a Bearkats defender whom he knocked down as he crossed the goal line.

Afterwards, Texas fans were celebrating that their quarterback had his swagger back, but other college football fans were calling the move cocky and uncalled for. Former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel went as far as to call it "corny."

Ironic, isn't it? The former Aggie who made a name for himself by being brazen, arrogant, and boisterous decided that it would be a good idea to call the 20-year-old Manning corny.

What makes it even worse is that Manziel did pretty much the exact same thing when he played against Sam Houston State in college, stepping over the defender that he had knocked down on his way to the end zone for a rushing touchdown.

Manziel calling Manning corny is unbelievably hypocritical of the former Texas A&M star, even when you factor in the rivalry between the two teams. Especially since Manziel never played against the Longhorns when he was on the Aggies.

Then, Manziel went on to a less-than-notable career in the NFL, making his exuberant personality throughout his collegiate career even more laughable.

Manning is finally letting go of all of the pressure that the entire world of college football placed on him before the season ever kicked off. He is finally playing his game again, throwing correctly, and dominating on the field.

Let the kid celebrate. Yes, he may be lucky that he didn't get called for taunting in the game against Sam Houston, but no, he doesn't need to be called corny, especially by someone like Manziel.

This week, Manning and the Horns are on a bye week, but on the first Saturday in October, Steve Sarkisian will lead his team into their second SEC season, as Texas takes on the Florida Gators.
