Texas has been getting consistent updates on the status of former star wide receiver Jordan Shipley since his tragic accident on Tuesday. As most know by now, he was badly injured when the machine he was riding on caught fire during a routine work day on his ranch.

We recently received another update from Jordan's sister, Shelby Nunez, via facebook.

She's asking that we all pray for Jordan's swift recovery, and basically lists off everything that he might have trouble with going forward as a result of suffering 3rd-degree burns covering a good portion of his body.

"•please pray that the cells work overtime in healing under the surface - capillaries, nerves, etc.

•please pray for full thickness of skin (after a severe burn takes place, it can continue to burn through layers for days)

•please pray against any infection

•please pray for full mobility in arms, legs, and both hands. he has said he needs to be able to play catch with his boys again one day

•please pray against guilt and shame. he keeps telling Sunny that he is so sorry

• please pray for optimal kidney function

•please pray that God will be glorified in this tragedy"

As awful as it looks and sounds, we all know that Jordan is incredibly tough and will be able to make it through this. The only real question is how quickly he'll be able to do it as it appears that it might be a while before things get back to normal for Shipley.

It's incredibly important that Jordan knows that all of Longhorn Nation is rooting for him to overcome this and that we all firmly believe that he can do it.
