One of the biggest games of the season was also one of the most surprising games of the year. As the No. 1 Texas Longhorns welcomed the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs to Austin, most expected the top-ranked Horns to walk away with the win.

However, at the halfway mark, it became apparent that the Longhorns weren't quite as ready for the SEC as everyone thought. Despite an impressive start by the Texas defense, including two interceptions in the first quarter, the Horns struggled.

By halftime, the Bulldogs had built a shocking 23-0 lead over Texas and it looked like the Horns were quite simply lost on their own field. Even head coach Steve Sarkisian threw a hail mary of his own when he subbed in Arch Manning for Quinn Ewers to see if a change at quarterback would work.

As the second half kicked off though, it was Ewers back in charge and it looked like the Horns had a little fight left in them. Ewers threw two touchdowns in the third quarter and a successful two-point conversion put Texas within reach of the Bulldogs.

Devastatingly, a scoreless fourth quarter for Texas and another touchdown for Georgia made the game an open-and-shut case. The Bulldogs walked away with the win and head coach Kirby Smart didn't hold back in his postgame interview.

"Nobody believed us and then they tried to rob us with calls in this place and these guys are so resilient," Smart said, clapping to emphasize his point. "We talked about intent. What was our intent when we walked on the field?"

Smart went on to say that his team wasn't there to take pictures or "do all the superstar stuff." He said their intent was "to eat and be hungry."

"I'm not interested in all the bells and whistles," Smart said. "I want a team that fights their asses off and they did tonight."

He's right, the Bulldogs fought. They outfought the Longhorns. Despite Manning's and Ewers' and Sarkisian's and everyone else's best efforts, Georgia simply outfought Texas. At the end of the game, the Bulldogs had toppled the No. 1 Horns and walked away with a 30-15 win over Texas.
