DeMarvion Overshown has only been in the NFL for one season. However, the former Texas linebacker already made a name for himself during his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, just ahead of his "sophomore" season with the Cowboys, Overshown is set to make history with the 65-year-old franchise. For the first time in franchise history, a player will wear the jersey No. 0, and Overshown is that very player.

"Itβs like putting a cape on," Overshown said of the opportunity. "It's an honor... Iβm still living a little Texas boy dream.β
Overshown is from right down the road in Tyler, TX, less than two hours from where the Cowboys play at AT&T Stadium and less than four hours from the Longhorns' home at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Why will DeMarvion Overshown wear the No. 0?
The former Texas star wore the No. 0 while playing for the Horns from 2018 until 2022, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors in his final season in Austin.

During his first year in the league, Overshown amassed a resounding 90 total tackles (56 solo), five sacks, four pass deflections, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one defensive touchdown.
The Cowboys selected Overshown in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft as the 90th overall pick. Despite falling to the second day of the Draft, Overshown quickly proved his worth as a star on Dallas's defense, playing in 13 of the Cowboys' 17 games last season.
