The Texas Longhorns are one step closer to securing yet another big-time recruit after four-star defensive tackle Dylan Berymon included the Horns in his final three schools

The DT prospect is in the class of 2026, a group of recruits that the Longhorns have yet to fully tap into. However, the Louisiana native also included the Texas A&M Aggies and the USC Trojans within his finalists.

Surprisingly, his home-state team, the LSU Tigers, was not included within the top three programs on Berymon's list, despite growing up just three and a half hours from the Tigers' stadium.

The defensive tackle also competes in track and field for his high school, Ouachita Parish, in Monroe, LA. During his sophomore season, Berymon earned 38 tackles and seven sacks. Just one year later, he earned a resounding 47 tackles, nine sacks, five hurry-ups, and one pass deflection as a junior.

At 6-foot-1.5 and 305 pounds, Berymon is already built like a collegiate defensive lineman and reportedly has the strength to show for it.

"Pit bull of an interior defensive lineman with broad trunk, big base, and corresponding power and strength," said 247Sports' Gabe Brooks. "Flashes sudden quickness in the trenches with knock-back power enhanced by a hot motor and intense field demeanor... Flashed consistent first-step juice and natural leverage to establish rip angles for 1-on-1 supremacy."

Berymon has brought in offers from 29 programs. He has official visits scheduled with the Longhorns (June 13), Houston Cougars (June 5), Purdue Boilermakers (May 30), and Texas Tech Red Raiders (April 12).

Currently, Texas has the No. 1 national recruiting class of 2026 prospects, despite bringing in the No. 1 class of 2025 recruits in the country.
