Position-by-position grades for Texas's 2025 signing class
After the first Early National Signing Day on Dec. 4, the 2025 Texas football recruiting class ranks No. 1 nationally for this cycle in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking. That is, Texas ranks No. 1 in the national class rankings for 2025 for this moment.
Will Texas football get the No. 1 ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle?
The rest of the week during the Early Signing Period (which lasts until Dec. 6) will tell where the Longhorns finish in the national class rankings in the 247Sports Composite.
On the first signing day, Texas landed a big-time commitment from the No. 1 ranked athlete recruit in the nation in the 2025 class, San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights five-star Michael Terry III. Terry committed to the Longhorns over the Oregon Ducks and Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday morning.
Texas is still waiting on one big decision from an uncommitted recruit on the trail for the 2025 class before the wrapping up of this signing period, five-star Manchester (GA) defensive lineman Justus Terry.
Terry will pick between the Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Texas on Dec. 6.
If Texas lands a commitment from Terry, it will probably secure the No. 1 ranked class in the nation for the 2025 cycle. A pledge from Terry would also put the Longhorns at 25 commitments from high school recruiting in the 2025 class.
Texas currently sits with 24 commitments after the first signing day on Dec. 4. Regardless of what happens with Terry, this is a pretty outstanding recruiting class for the Longhorns for 2025.
