Multiple reports (including Inside Texas and OTF) early in the afternoon of July 25 have indicated that Texas football is set to host a couple of 2025 defensive tackle visitors who are committed to other schools on Thursday. These are two new visitors who were not on the original visitor lists for the late July pool party/BBQ bash on July 25 as of earlier this week.

Visitor list expands with key DT flip targets for the Texas football bash today

The Texas bash will now see over a half dozen key 2025 blue-chip recruits for the Longhorns visiting for the bash on Thursday afternoon. Some of the five-star recruits who will be on campus from the 2025 class for the Texas bash event are five-star safety Jonah Williams and five-star athlete Michael Terry.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and defensive line coach Kenny Baker were preparing to host a handful of defensive tackle recruits for the pool part/BBQ bash event this week, but those hailed from the 2026 and 2027 classes. It's huge for the Longhorns to get two potential flip targets at a key position of need at defensive tackle on campus late this summer for the bash.

It's been well documented how the Longhorns have struggled to hit on its top targets at defensive tackle on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class since the end of summer official visits. But we know how Sarkisian and this Texas coaching staff recruits through the whistle on signing day.

Nothing would surprise me regarding the potential for Texas to flip at least a couple of 2025 defensive tackles who are currently committed to other schools at some point during the fall or around signing day in early December.
