3 2025 blue-chip recruits Texas could flip this weekend

It is expected that Texas can flip at least a couple more blue-chip commitments from other P4 schools on the trail this fall in the 2025 class before signing day.

Daylan McCutcheon, WR (Florida State commit)

Another in-state wide receiver flip target that is on the radar for the Longhorns on the trail in the 2025 class this fall is the touted Lucas (TX) Lovejoy four-star and Florida State Seminoles commit Daylan McCutcheon.

McCutcheon is scheduled to take an unofficial gameday visit to see Texas host Mississippi State this weekend for the SEC opener at DKR in Austin. This will be McCutcheon's first visit to Texas since his official visit to Austin back in mid-June.

In mid-July, McCutcheon committed to Florida State over the Longhorns, USC Trojans, LSU Tigers, SMU Mustangs, and Ohio State Buckeyes. Texas has stayed involved in this recruitment, despite not getting a commitment from McCutcheon a couple of months ago when he originally announced for Florida State.

Jackson and McCutcheon have a great relationship, and they've maintained consistent communication over the last six weeks or so.

If Texas can make a big impression on McCutcheon, and they really push to flip his commitment from Florida State this weekend during his gameday trip to watch the Longhorns against Mississippi State, there's definitely a chance he could end up in this class before signing day.
