Daylan McCutcheon, WR (FSU commit)

Another top flip target for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class this fall who is unofficially visiting Texas for the SEC opener this weekend against Mississippi State is four-star Florida State Seminoles wide receiver commit Daylan McCutcheon.

Texas is looking at McCutcheon as a third potential wide receiver take in the 2025 class to join five-stars Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett.

The highly touted blue-chip wide receiver recruit from Lucas (TX) Lovejoy High School in the DFW Metroplex is making his first trip to Texas since his official visit back in mid-June.

McCutcheon committed to Florida State over the Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes, USC Trojans, and SMU Mustangs in mid-July. But the Longhorns haven't thrown in the towel in this recruitment in the past few months since McCutcheon committed to Florida State on July 13.

He took a gameday visit last weekend unofficially to College Station to see the Texas A&M Aggies slide past the Bowling Green Falcons at Kyle Field. Along with this trip for the Texas-Mississippi State game this weekend for the SEC opener in Austin, McCutcheon is also expected to take a gameday trip to Tallahassee this fall to see Florida State.

McCutcheon and four-star Texas A&M commit Kelshaun Johnson are two in-state flip targets at the wide receiver position the Longhorns are pushing hard for on the trail in the 2025 class this fall.
