Will Griffin, QB

A key 2026 recruit on offer watch for the Longhorns this weekend is the touted four-star Tampa (FL) Jesuit quarterback Will Griffin. The No. 1 quarterback recruit from Florida in the 2026 class in the 247Sports Composite is reportedly "hoping for an offer" during his unofficial trip to Texas on April 13.

This weekend's trip is Griffin's first return visit to Texas since Junior Day in late January. He had a great experience during his Junior Day trip to Texas on the weekend of Jan. 20.

If Sarkisian, quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee, and the Longhorns do extend an offer to Griffin this weekend, he will be the third uncommitted QB offer in the 2026 class. Texas has also offered San Marcos (CA) Mission Hills four-star Troy Huhn and Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage five-star Dia Bell among quarterbacks in the 2026 class this offseason.

Assuming Texas does offer Griffin this weekend, it will join the Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida Gators, Michigan Wolverines, and Florida State Seminoles, among many other P5 schools in this recruitment. Florida is currently considered the leader in this recruitment after Griffin had multiple successful unofficial visits to Gainville in the last few months.

Griffin has also visited Florida State and Ohio State this spring.
