The elite five-star Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage quarterback Bell is the other top signal caller in contention for the Longhorns in the 2026 class entering the Elite Camp in early June. There's no mistake that Bell and Huhn are the only two quarterback offers in the 2026 class who are working out during the Texas Elite Camp next weekend.

Two of the biggest differences between the recruitments of Huhn and Bell at the quarterback position for the Longhorns are the potential timelines for decisions and the play-styles.

While Huhn has taken more of a patient approach to his decision timeline and recruitment, Bell has recently said he's getting closer to a decision entering summer visits. Bell is considering the Penn State Nittany Lions, Miami Hurricanes, and Texas among his top schools late this spring.

The Elite Camp will be Bell's first return trip to Texas since he visited in mid-March during spring practice (specifically on March 19). Bell came out of that spring trip to Texas a couple of months ago very high on the impression Sarkisian and the Longhorns made during that visit.

From a scouting perspective, Bell is one of the most talented and athletic quarterbacks in the nation in the 2026 class. He's the top-ranked prospect from Florida in the 2026 class in the 247Sports Composite.

Bell has more athletic upside when compared to Huhn. He has great velocity on his throws and can make those tough off-platform throws with his feet planted or while on the move. Bell's dual-threat ability and athleticism allows him to make off-script plays and throws that Huhn can't.

His ability to make plays outside of the pocket will be special at the next level.
