Among the handful of Texas targets who visited campus for spring practice on the morning of March 29 was the highly touted four-star Pearland (TX) Shadown Creek cornerback Cobey Sellers. The No. 15 cornerback recruit in the 247Sports Composite in the 2025 class has been a frequent visitor in Austin over the last couple of years.

Sellers included a post with him viewing Texas's spring practice at the Frank Denius Fields this morning on social media.

Sellers has already visited Texas multiple times this offseason. His first unofficial trip to Austin early this offseason was for the first big Junior Day on the weekend of Jan. 20. Sellers is also scheduled to officially visit Texas in mid June.

Texas is duking it out on the recruiting trail with the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma among the top schools in Sellers' recruitment this spring. Many consider the Sooners to be the slight leader in this recruitment early this offseason. But Texas and Georgia are still well within striking distance of Oklahoma entering summer official visits.

Sellers and Conroe (TX) five-star Dorian Brew are widely considered Texas's top two in-state priorities at the cornerback position in the 2025 class this spring.
