In roughly 24 hours, various recruits will start making their way to campus for the late July Texas football pool party/BBQ bash. Texas is hosting over two dozen visiting recruits from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes for the pool party/BBQ bash on July 25.

Does Texas football have something big in store for the pool party/BBQ bash?

The Texas bash will be the last major recruiting event of the summer before preseason camp begins and then the regular season kicks off on the last day of August. This is the final chance the Longhorns will get to host some key recruits, namely from the 2025 and 2026 classes, to make a final impression before the season begins.

On the visitor list for the Longhorns for the bash event this weekend are multiple five-star recruits from the 2025 and 2026 classes. There will also be multiple other blue-chip recruits at key positions visiting Texas this week from both sides of the ball.

It's noteworthy that head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns staff host roughly a half-dozen blue-chip commitments from the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes for the bash on Thursday.

Here are three key visiting recruits for the Texas bash this week who are on commitment watch for the Longhorns.

Michael Terry, ATH

Among the handful of five-star recruits visiting Texas tomorrow for the pool party/BBQ bash is the No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, Michael Terry. The two-way athlete from San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights High School is one of two uncommitted five-star 2025 recruits visiting Texas this week.

The other is Galveston (TX) Ball five-star athlete/safety Jonah Williams.

Terry is making his second visit to Texas in as many months after he made an official trip to Austin in early June. He's also making another trip this week for a visit out to Eugene to see head coach Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks on July 26.

This recruitment looks like it will boil down to a Texas-Oregon battle on the recruiting trail for Terry's commitment. Texas sits in a pretty good spot for Terry right now. A successful visit tomorrow for the Texas bash could put the Longhorns out front as the leader in the race to land his commitment late this summer.
