One of the top quarterback priorities for Sarkisian and the Longhorns in he 2026 class this offseason is the elite Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage five-star Dia Bell. The No. 3 quarterback recruit in the nation in the 2026 class in the 247Sports Composite has loved what he's seen from Texas since the Longhorns offered him during an unofficial visit to Austin in mid-March.

Texas cemented its status as one of the contenders in Bell's recruitment after the successful unofficial visit he took to Austin during spring practice a couple of months ago.

Milwee is also reportedly scheduled to be in Florida this week to see Bell at American Heritage High School.

It was good for Bell to get that positive first impression of how Sarkisian and Milwee run practice, specifically with the quarterbacks. He got to see the Texas quarterbacks, including Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning, operate the offense in team and throwing drills early in spring camp.

"I had never been to one of their practices, so it was good to learn how coach A.J. Milwee and coach Steve Sarkisian like to coach their quarterbacks"

Bell is scheduled to be back at Texas for the Elite Camp in early June. That will be the first time that Bell throws in front of Sarkisian and Milwee since Texas offered him in March.

We mentioned in a piece on the site yesterday that Bell is closing in on a decision entering the summer. Texas appears to be in a good spot among his top schools if Bell is ready to announce his commitment in the coming weeks/months.
