Tilmon will decide between three finalist schools during his announcement ceremony at Timberview High School next week, including the Utah Utes, TCU Horned Frogs, and Texas.
Original an SMU Mustangs commit in the 2025 class, Tilmon received a lot of attention from a handful of power conference schools on the recruiting trail during the spring evaluation period and early this summer. Tilmon had originally committed to SMU in early February.
Tilmon officially visited four schools in the spring and early in the summer this offseason. He took official visits to see SMU, Texas, TCU, and Utah.
Texas was the most recent school Tilmon officially visited this summer. He saw Austin during a midweek official visit in mid-to-late June. A few days after his midweek official visit to Texas concluded, Tilmon backed off his pledge to SMU.
Tilmon was part of a group of a few defensive back offers for the Longhorns in the class of 2025 who the Texas coaching staff hosted for midweek official visits starting back on June 18. Five-star Conroe (TX) cornerback Dorian Brew and five-star Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee also took midweek official visits to Texas with Tilmon on the same week back in June.
