Maybe the most impressive player on either side of the ball for the Longhorns after the first two days of fall practice is the former Oregon State Beavers grad transfer wide receiver Bolden. The super senior has looked much better than advertised since he arrived on campus for summer workouts a couple of months ago.

Bolden has even turned the effort and results on the practice field up a notch since he put on the practice uniform for Texas for the first time yesterday to start training camp. In practice yesterday, Bolden did really well in the individual and one-on-one receiver drills, making multiple contested catches against the first and second-team Texas DBs.

Today in practice, Bolden elevated his status on the depth chart returning punts for Banks and the Longhorns. From what we've heard from various practice reports and discussion after the second fall practice today, Bolden was the most effective punt returner Texas had in special teams drills.

Bolden was reportedly the first-team punt returner after he wasn't even working with the first or second-team special teams units yesterday.

Other skill players the Longhorns had working on special teams punt returns today were sophomore wide receiver Johntay Cook II, junior wide receiver Matthew Golden, and junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond.

Bolden has shown that in the first couple of days of fall practice this week that he's going to be incredibly difficult to keep off the field consistently on offense and special teams with the return units this fall.
