Arch Manning, QB

This was a coming out party for Manning in the spring game. He silenced the doubters while showing off all that arm talent throwing the deep ball in the first half of the Orange-White Game.

Manning found sophomore wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. for a beautiful 75-yard deep ball touchdown for the first score of the game for Team White. Arch showed why he was the No. 1 rated recruit in the nation in the 2023 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking with that impressive deep ball touchdown to Moore.

But that wasn't the only big play from Manning in the spring game for Team White. He was nearly spotless in the first half, nearly completing each of his first 10 passing attempts.

Manning's second touchdown saw him find junior running back Jaydon Blue over the middle for an explosive play through the air.

The two touchdown passes in the first half from Manning to Moore and then Blue accounted for over half of his 133 passing yards to get the spring game started. Manning only had one incompletion in the first half of the spring game.

Manning continued to impress with some nice passes to different wideouts on his first drive of the second half, including connections to junior Isaiah Bond and sophomore Johntay Cook II.

As he remained on the field for a few drives in the second half, Manning had a second 75-yard deep ball connection, this time to Bond for a score.

Arch took full advantage of the extra spring game reps today since Ewers wasn't out there for very long. He made an impact right away with the 75-yard deep ball score to Moore and probably had one of the most consistent days of any Texas player on the offensive side of the ball.

In the last week of spring practice, Manning has been very impressive. Sarkisian said Manning had one of his best practices of spring camp earlier this week (April 16). He continued to build momentum entering summer workouts and preseason camp with a stellar and consistent showing in the spring game.
