For the past few cycles, there haven't been all that many large and headline-grabbing battles on the recruiting trail between the Texas football program and the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan hasn't recruited very much with top targets head coach Steve Sarkisian and staff are interested in on the trail in the past few years.

Multiple Texas football targets in the next few classes will be in attendance for Longhorns vs. Michigan on Saturday

But with Texas and Michigan clashing on the field this weekend in a top-10 battle in Ann Arbor on Sep. 7, there will be more recruits paying attention to these two teams battling it out on the gridiron on Saturday.

Multiple recruits that the Longhorns have offered on the trail between the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes will be in attendance for the high-stakes matchup at the Big House between Texas and Michigan this weekend. Other national recruitments that are important for Texas over the next few cycles will also be impacted by the result on the field for the Longhorns in Ann Arbor against Michigan.

Here are three key recruits for the Longhorns in the 2025 and 2026 classes who will be in Ann Arbor visiting for the Texas-Michigan game in Week 2.

Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng, LB

One of the fall linebacker recruitments for the Longhorns in the 2025 class that the staff seems very interested in is the highly touted four-star Manassas (VA) IMG Academy linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng. Texas's defensive staff are still looking to take another linebacker commitment or two in the 2025 class, as it currently has two prospects pledged to them for this cycle.

Owusu-Boateng is scheduled to officially visit Texas on Oct. 19 for the matchup at DKR between Texas and the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. He's already taken official visits to see the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, USC Trojans, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Michigan during the summer last offseason.

If Owusu-Boateng makes it to the Texas-Georgia game in October in Austin with his recruitment still being wide open, the Longhorns will have a realistic shot to land his commitment.
