Dec. 8 vs. UConn

Location: Moody Center (Austin, TX)

The marquee home matchup on the non-conference schedule for Terry and the Longhorns this upcoming regular season is on Dec. 8 against the reigning champion UConn Huskies at the Moody Center.

This matchup against UConn is the front end of a home-and-home series that will wrap up in a game in Storrs, CT, next regular season.

Terry and the Longhorns will be looking to avenge a 10-point loss to the Huskies in the final of the Saatva Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden this past regular season.

UConn and head coach Dan Hurley lost a lot of production and top players from their championship squad last season. Gone are four of UConn's top five scorers from last season, including first-round NBA Draft pick and big man Donovan Clingan and All-American guard Tristen Newton.

But that might not slow down a UConn squad that is coming off back-to-back National Championships in the last two postseasons. UConn has a few key players returning from last year's squad who will step into bigger roles this upcoming season, including standout junior forward Alex Karaban and senior guard Hassan Diarra.

UConn will also be relying on incoming portal additions like Saint Mary's transfer Aidan Mahoney and Michigan transfer Tarris Reed this upcoming season.
