Dia Bell, QB

The other top quarterback priority for the Longhorns in the 2026 class who is working out at the Elite Camp on June 1 is the elite Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage five-star Dia Bell. The top-10 prospect nationally in the 2026 class in the 247Sports Composite is one of the highest-rated recruits who will be visiting for the Elite Camp this weekend.

Many consider Bell the most important recruit to watch at the Texas Elite Camp. And it's easy to see why.

Bell has that elusive five-star rating according to many of the major recruiting services. He's got a ton of arm talent and is a next-level athlete at the quarterback position. I wouldn't quite classify Bell as a dual-threat quarterback prospect.

But he does have that special ability to make plays while evading the pocket and throwing on time from different arm angles from inside the pocket and on the run.

Bell is competing with Huhn to see which quarterback prospect impresses the coaching staff the most at the Elite Camp. I think the upside Bell brings could give him a slight edge regarding his talent and ceiling in Sarkisian's offense.

Horns247's Jordan Scruggs mentioned in his Elite Camp preview piece earlier this week that he "would not be surprised at all" if Bell decided to shut down his recruitment in Austin this weekend.
