Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian host multiple 2025 commitments during this big official visit weekend from June 14-16. Two of the three commitments in the 2025 class officially visiting Texas this weekend haven't taken any other trips elsewhere this summer.

4-Star Texas football DL commit Brandon Brown makes a visit schedule adjustment

That is not the case, though, for the touted four-star Melbourne (FL) Eau Gallie defensive lineman Brandon Brown. Since committing to the Longhorns last December, Brown has visited multiple other schools.

And it looks like there is another shakeup for Brown's official visit schedule this summer. He was originally scheduled to take an official visit to Coral Gables to see the Miami Hurricanes next weekend (June 21-23). However, a report from OTF's Gerry Hamilton on June 14 notes that Brown has made a late adjustment to his official visit schedule to see the Oklahoma Sooners next weekend.

Oklahoma has been working to get involved in Brown's recruitment for the last few months and will get a swing at things here next weekend. Brown has never taken a visit to Norman before his official visit from June 21-23.

The official visit Brown took that made the most noise in the last few weeks was to see Baton Rouge and the LSU Tigers from May 31-June 2. LSU was trending to flip Brown's commitment in the 24-48 hours following the conclusion of his official visit to Baton Rouge a couple of weeks ago.

Kenny Baker and the Longhorns have a chance to swing momentum firmly back in their favor with Brown's recruitment during his official visit to Texas this weekend. It's big that the Longhorns were able to keep him committed as long as they have while he has taken multiple officials to other competing schools on the recruiting trail in the SEC during the spring and early summer.

I think this official visit to Austin this weekend could really help the Longhorns chances of keeping Brown committed through signing day in December.
