4 Texas official visitors on commitment watch this weekend

Wide receiver recruiting takes center stage for Sarkisian, wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and the Longhorns in the 2025 class this weekend. Texas hosts a couple of elite five-star official visitors at the wide receiver position in the next 48 hours, one from in-state and the other from Florida.
The out-of-state official visitor at wide receiver that all Texas fans will have their eyes on during his official visit this weekend is the elite Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin five-star Jaime Ffrench. The No. 4 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking makes his first return trip to Austin since spring practice in early April this weekend.
As recent as less than a month ago, Ffrench said Texas was his No. 1 school entering summer official visits. While he rescinded those comments a few weeks later, saying that there was no clear leader in his recruitment early this summer, Texas still reportedly remains very "optimistic" with their chances to land Ffrench in their 2025 class.
Ffrench has a decision date set for the late summer (specifically Aug. 30). There is a chance he could move up his decision timeline if he really knows where he wants to go at the conclusion of his summer trips in the next week.
Texas's ultimate goal with wide receiver recruiting in the 2025 class is to land a historically elite trio of five-star Kaliq Lockett, five-star Dakorien Moore, and Ffrench.
Lockett is the other big wide receiver recruit officially visiting Texas this weekend, from Sachse (TX) High School.
