Texas really went three for three with their big June official visit weekends early this summer.

Jaime Ffrench, WR

The other headlining official visitor on campus for the Longhorns this weekend, along with Fasusi, was the elite five-star Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench. Five-star Sachse (TX) wide receiver Kaliq Lockett joined Ffrench among the two guys the Longhorns really want, along with fellow five-star Dakorien Moore, in the receiving corps for the 2025 class.

Following the conclusion of Ffrench's official visit to Texas this weekend, he said he "loved it" and that he had a great experience talking to Sarkisian and Chris Jackson.

Ffrench spent time not only with the Texas coaches, but also a few key Longhorns players on the current roster and four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback commit KJ Lacey this weekend. We mentioned in a piece on the site yesterday that Lacey and Ffrench essentially "looked like best friends" during their official visit.

It's also noteworthy that Ffrench spent time with redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning. And he was hosted by former five-star wide receiver recruit and true freshman Ryan Wingo. Manning and Wingo really sold him on the potential he has playing in this receiving corps in Sarkisian's offense in the SEC.

Ffrench is still sticking with his Aug. 30 decision date following the conclusion of his official visit to Texas this weekend. But there is still the possibility of him moving up that decision date if he's ready to shut things down before the start of his senior season.

Devin Williams, CB (Auburn commit)

Texas made a big move this weekend with the touted four-star Auburn Tigers commit and Buford (GA) cornerback Devin Williams during his official visit. Terry Joseph has formed a great connection with the blue-chip cornerback recruit from Georgia who has been committed to Auburn since late February 2024.

But he told the media following the conclusion of his official visit on Sunday that Texas gave him a lot to think about. Texas did a nice job selling both the city of Austin and how he could fit as a versatile DB in the Longhorns' secondary in the future.

I think Texas did a great job recruiting all three uncommitted defensive back targets who were on campus for their official visits this weekend. Anding and four-star Missouri City (TX) Hightower defensive back Kade Phillips both gave their visits rave reviews.

Joseph and the Longhorns have really put the pressure on for all three of these DB recruits in the 2025 class, including Williams, Phillips, and Anding to potentially commit in the next few weeks to the next couple of months.
