Texas football is in the midst of its final big June official visit weekend from June 21-23. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian are hosting multiple commitments and key targets from the 2025 class in Austin this weekend.

The wide receivers officially visiting Texas this weekend have garnered a ton of attention, namely five-stars Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett. Ffrench has spent ample time this weekend during his Texas official visit with four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback and UT commit KJ Lacey.

Inside Texas' Charlie Williams reported on June 22 (paid content) that Lacey and Ffrench have "looked like the best of friends" with how much time they've spent together during their official visits on campus in the last 24 hours. This IT report specifically mentions Ffrench and Lacey have been "inseparable" during their Texas official visit this weekend.

Lacey and Ffrench have spent a lot of time together this week. Ffrench was catching passes from Lacey at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, CA, from June 18-20.

The blue-chip quarterback from Alabama who is committed to Texas in the 2025 class has said that he is making it a priority to recruit top-skill guys like Ffrench and Duncanville (TX) five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore this summer.

Moore and Ffrench are arguably Texas's two top priorities at the skill positions in the 2025 class. Moore took his Texas official visit last weekend, and Texas continues to be in a great spot among his top schools during his summer trips.

Ffrench, the Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin five-star wide receiver, has been impressed by the two visits he's taken to Texas in the last three months. He first visited Texas unofficially during spring practice in April. Texas also gets his final official visit before he's expected to make a decision in late August.

Granted, we'll see if he ultimately sticks to that decision timeline around the start of his senior season.

Ffrench likes the idea of playing in Sarkisian's offense at Texas. It also helps that Sarkisian and QB coach AJ Milwee have recruited so much quarterback talent to the Longhorns in the last few cycles as well as future classes like 2026 five-star commit Dia Bell.

We should know in the next 24 hours or so how much Texas has specifically moved the needle with Ffrench. Texas made a lot of noise in this recruitment following the conclusion of Ffrench's unofficial trip to Austin during the spring.
