"Being able to bond with the coach that I’d want to play for and have passion with. The style of play is really important to me, just knowing that I can fit into the program and knowing that I can thrive and become my best self is really important. Location isn’t a big thing for me. I’m willing to go wherever in the country."
- Grace Knox
When she originally narrowed down her list of top schools to four in late July, she said that two of the biggest factors for her decision will be relationships with the coaching staffs and the official visits.
Knox said that she is potentially looking at a decision timeline of around November or early December. But she is not set in stone on deciding by early December yet. It sounds like she's waiting to officially announce her decision date until she's done with the four official visits over the next couple of months.
Texas head coach Vic Schaefer has done a great job in this recruitment, keeping the Longhorns in a good position to potentially land the No. 2 wing prospect in the nation in the 2025 class (per ESPN's Super 60). It's clear, based on her list of finalists, that Knox likes the idea of leaving the west coast and California to play in the SEC.
The Longhorns already have a good foothold on the 2025 class, with one of the top recruits in the nation for this cycle having committed to Texas roughly a month ago. Five-star Shakopee (MN) Minnetonka guard Aaliyah Crump committed to Texas over the Duke Blue Devils and Ohio State Buckeyes back in early July.
