Next week, Texas football will resume hosting visitors on campus from various recruiting cycles during the annual late July BBQ/pool party. The late July pool party and BBQ has become an important event for Texas on the recruiting trail, as it is usually the last major visit weekend before the season starts each year.

Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian have already added a handful of visitors to the list among those who will be on campus for the pool party on July 25. Among the most important visitors scheduled to be on campus next week for the pool party from the class of 2026 is the elite high-four-star Forney (TX) running back Javian Osborne.

Inside Texas's Justin Wells reported on July 19 that Osborne is making his first return visit since he made an unofficial trip to see the Longhorns during spring practice a few months ago. Osborne also visited Texas unofficially for the first big Junior Day of the offseason back on Jan. 20.

He will have visited Texas more than any other school so far this offseason after he makes the trip to the pool party/BBQ next week.

Osborne, the No. 1 running back recruit in Texas in the 2026 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, is one of Texas's top in-state priorities at the position for that cycle. Tashard Choice and the Longhorns identified Osborne as a key priority recruit in the 2026 class early on in this cycle and he's been in constant communication with this staff ever since in the last year to 18 months.

It's a big deal that the Longhorns have gotten Osborne to campus as many times as they have since last offseason. Texas definitely has Osborne's interest early in his recruitment.

A few of the many other offers Osborne holds from major conference schools include the Texas A&M Aggies, Oklahoma Sooners, Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon Ducks, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
