The fourth of eight consecutive games at the Disch to open the 2024 season sees No. 16 Texas baseball host the Houston Christian Huskies in a one-game midweek matchup on Feb. 20.

This matchup against Houston Christian will be the first midweek contest of the 2024 regular season for head coach David Pierce and the Longhorns. Texas opened up the 2024 campaign last weekend with a series win over the San Diego Toreros.

Pierce and the Longhorns took two out of three games in the season opening series against San Diego over the weekend, including a 9-4 series-clinching victory on Feb. 18 at the Disch.

Houston Christian opened its 2024 season with a four-game series win last weekend against Le Moyne. The Huskies took three of the four games in last weekend's series against Le Moyne.

The Huskies are coached by 15-year MLB veteran and six-time MLB All-Star Lance Berkman.

Houston Christian: Ty Dagley, LHP (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Redshirt sophomore right-hander Luke Harrison will make his first start since the 2022 season against Houston Christian on Feb. 20. Harrison missed the entire 2023 campaign after getting Tommy John Surgery.

Harrison had a stellar true freshman campaign in 2022 for Pierce and the Longhorns, posting an earned run average close to 3.00 over 35 appearances and one start.
