Head coach David Pierce and Texas baseball (15-10, 4-2 Big 12) have a critical test ahead in conference play this weekend in a three-game series on the road in Manhattan against the No. 23 Kansas State Wildcats (17-6, 5-1 Big 12).

Texas and Kansas State are two teams that have been trending in opposite directions recently. The Longhorns suffered a bad loss at the Disch on March 26 at the hands of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders, with the bats getting shut down in a 4-1 defeat.

Kansas State, meanwhile, is the hottest team in the Big 12 in the last couple of weeks. The Wildcats have won nine in a row and five consecutive in Big 12 play. Kansas State had an impressive three-game weekend series sweep on the road against a solid Houston Cougars squad last week.

Pierce's squad has a chance to get atop the Big 12 standings this weekend if it wins the series against Kansas State. But this is a tall task to defeat the hottest team in the conference on their own field this week.

Here’s a look at the TV/streaming information and game times for the Longhorns this week/weekend in a three-game series against No. 23 on the road at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan.
