No. 1 Texas softball is seeking its first Women's College World Series title in program history, beginning on May 30 against the No. 8 Stanford Cardinal. Texas and head coach Mike White are in Oklahoma City, OK, for the Women's College World Series for the second time in the last three years.

White and the Longhorns were last in OKC for the Women's College World Series in 2022. It wasn't easy for the Longhorns to get to OKC, though.

The No. 16 Texas A&M Aggies gave Texas everything it could handle in the Austin Super Regional, with all three games decided by very narrow margins. Texas took two games out of three to punch its ticket to the Women's College World Series after the thrilling super regional against A&M.

Texas (52-8, 23-4 Big 12) is in the Women's College World Series for the seventh time in program history. All seven WCWS appearances for the Longhorns have come in the last 25 years (since 1998).

Stanford (48-15, 17-7 Pac-12) split two regular season contests with the Longhorns. Texas topped Stanford, 9-2, in the first meeting between these two squads this season in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational on Feb. 16.

The Cardinal evened up the series with Texas during the regular season with a tight 4-3 win in extra innings in the Lone Star State Invitational at McCombs Field in Austin on Feb. 24.

Here's a look at the TV/streaming information and game time for the opener for the Women's College Series between No. 1 Texas and No. 8 Stanford at OGE Field at Devin Park in Oklahoma City, OK, on May 30.
